Crochet Workshop Series: Summer Top

Do you want to learn the basics of crocheting? Or do you want to develop your crocheting skills?
No matter what your level, within this crochet workshop you will learn to make your own personalised crochet summer top!

First we will start by learning the very basics of crocheting. You‘ll be introduced to the tools and basic stitches – everything that you need to be able to make your own personalized summer top. After you learned the basics and practiced in the first sessions, you are going to create and plan your garment. Once done with that you can start crocheting your top!

It is also possible to crochet something else within this course – the top is a suggestion, but I am also happy to guide you through the crocheting of a toy, oven cloth or headband. This work- shop is open to all levels and will begin with a thorough introduction for beginners.

About Katharina
Katharina is a fashion designer and dressmaker based in Amsterdam. After her apprenticeship as a couture dressmaker in Germany and working at the Dutch National Opera her work developed into a more artistic direction. She studied at Universität der Künste in Berlin, where she also had a junior teaching position for two years, before returning to Amsterdam. There she founded her fashion design studio Katharina Spitz. Her designs, performances and dressmaking try to open up new perspectives and ways of being in a world that is suffering from pollution, misogyny and alienation. Crafting is for her a critical tool. She has a great passion for hour long handiwork – and for sharing the technical knowledge she gained throughout her years within the crafting industry.
