Natural Dyeing Workshop: Wall Tapestry by Atelier Nachtvlinder

Discover the beauty of eco-printing and create your own botanical wall tapestry — a unique, symmetrical textile artwork for your home.

During this 4 hour workshop Annastasia from Atelier Nachtvlinder will introduce you to the art of eco-printing on linen. She will guide you step by step in creating a unique wall tapestry that you can take home afterwards.

In this in-depth session, we will experiment with the intensity of natural pigments and work with natural modifiers such as alum, iron, and vinegar. You will discover how different plants react with natural fibres, and how colours can be deepened or subtly shifted.

Alongside the practical process, we will explore the origins of the plants we work with. Through storytelling, shared research, and exchanging knowledge within the group, a rich and grounded learning experience emerges.

Each participant creates one large linen wall textile (70 × 150 cm), finished with a wooden hanging rod with pre-drilled screws.

At home, you only need two ór one hook to hang your work.

What to bring
Annastasia always brings carefully foraged plants to print onto the linen. You are also invited to bring plants from your own garden or place of origin (these can be fresh and/or dried).
