About LeBrie Rich
Known to some as Duchess of Felt, LeBrie is best known for her highly realistic sculptures of food packaging rendered in felt. She founded PenFelt Studio in 2004 in Portland Oregon and recently moved to The Netherlands.
LeBrie has taught workshops at colleges, art studios, and fiber festivals all over the world—from a small village in the mountains of Japan to New York City. Her work has appeared internationally in various settings, including museums, galleries, storefront windows, and art vending machines. She has been teaching people to felt since 2006 and has a reputation for facilitating fun, upbeat workshops with a high level of individualized attention for each student.
