Upcycling Baby Course by Studio Itske – Amsterdam West

Time: 1.30 – 5.30 PM

Level: (confident) beginner
Language: Dutch & English

In 2 lessons you will learn how to transform a buttondown shirt into a baby garment. You can make a baby A-line dress, baby strappy romper, or a baby jumpsuit.

All patterns and guidance will be provided by Itske during a 2x 4-hour course

What’s included:
– Use of sewing machine, serger, sewing thread and multiple sewing tools.
– Some materials like elastic tape and fusible interlining
– Tea/ coffee and cookies

What to bring?
– And old buttondown shirt. Preferably a men’s shirt made from cotton fibre. Bring 2 or
3 shirts to decide together with Itske which one is best to use.

Level:
– Confident beginner / Intermediate; You’ve worked with a sewing machine before,
know the basic stitches and sewn several items

About Itske
Itske is a fashion and pattern designer with an expertise in children’s clothing. She will soon launch her first baby pattern collection which focusses on upcycling and is made for the home sewist.
