In collaboration with Knits & Notes, we are organizing a new outdoor event this summer, called ‘Knits and Now’. Here the theme of the present, but also nature and circularity, is brought into contact with handicrafts. The location is Der Hintergarten in Amsterdam Nieuw-West.
Expect a program with live music and enough space for people to do individual crafts (you can bring your own knitting, crochet or other craft project). There will also be guides available to help you get started and there are additional materials you can use, such as (second-hand) wool and knitting needles.
With this event we want to focus on the ‘now’. Surrounded by nature at an innovative location in Nieuw-West, we offer people the opportunity to remove themselves from the noise of the city and, stitch by stitch, reflect more on the present moment. Through music, yoga, joint art projects, creative workshops and the act of crafting itself, we hope to inspire and connect people.
