What are we going to do?
We are going to make a tote bag with an added Friendship Star block.

What are we going to learn?
1. How to stitch the popular Friendship Star quilt block.
2. How to attach it to the bag using a special decorative stitch on the machine or doing it by hand with a
blanket stitch.
3. Basic quilting terms, best tools for beginners and piecing techniques.
4. You will also leave the course with instructions on how to recreate this tote bag as well as a summary of
everything else you have learned during the workshop.

Materials
All materials are included for this workshop. Included in the course are: fabric for the block and the tote
bag, lining, straps, thread, the use of a sewing machine, presser feet, quilting tools, rotary cutter, cutting
mat and the usual sewing tools.
*Fabrics used during the workshop might differ to the ones in the pictures.

About Ana
Ana is a sewing and quilting teacher based in the Netherlands. She studied pattern cutting and professional sewing skills in the London College of Fashion where she started her own independent sewing pattern company, CocoWawa Crafts. Ana designs dressmaking and quilting patterns for the modern maker and loves many other crafts like knitting, embroidery and cross-stitch.
