Because at De Steek we collaborate with other creative initiatives, you will find in our studio a Textile Arts Summer Camp for Youth this summer! This Summer Camp is created by Adore Textile Camps. The objective of this camp, reserved for youth aged 11 to 14, is to explore the world of eco-friendly fashion through mini-lessons, meaningful discussions, drama and role-playing games, and textile crafts!
Some topics include:
- The life of a garment
- The people behind our clothing
- Upcycling & waste
- The future of fashion and fabrics
- Fashion culture and traditions around the world
Textile Arts and other activities:
- Natural dyeing experiments using flowers and food waste
- Weaving
- Upcyling jewellery and other accessories
- Collaging and mood boards
- Paper and custom journal making
- Sewing
- Acting, drama, games and more!
As you can see, this summer week will be full of stimulating and exciting discoveries!
This art camp will be held from July 18 to 22, 2022, from 9 am to 3 pm every day at the studio of De Steek. The price for this great activity is 330, includes drinks, snacks, lunch on Friday, plus all materials. All activities will be expressed in English.
