Beginner Crafting Course 1.0 – Amsterdam De Pijp

Learn the basics of various crafts with our Beginners’ Crafting Course in our Craft Café! In this 4-lesson package you’ll be able to choose from different craft techniques including knitting, embroidery, crocheting, and macramé, and learn the basics by creating or upcycling a clothing item or accessory.

What’s great about this course is that you can customise your experience to learn the techniques and complete the projects that are interesting to you. You can choose any technique you’d like and either carry on with all the projects from that technique (for example all the knitting projects), or choose a project from different techniques (for example one crochet project, one embroidery project, etc.).

Depending on the projects you choose, you will be able to make at least two items. You can join as a complete beginner or if you already have some experience and want to freshen up your skills. You can follow this 4-lesson course on any days and at any time you’d like, depending on the opening hours of the Craft Café. In other words, you do not have to book the same time slot each week – you may even want to follow more than one lesson in a single week! Guidance is provided by our professional crafters. Classes are in both Dutch and English.

Knitting:
– A Micro Scarf
– A Chunky Scarf
– A Chunky Beanie
– Hand Knitted Handbag
Crochet:
– A Bandana
– A Small Cross Body Bag
Embroidery:
– Decorate and upcycle an existing item of your own
Macrame:
– A Top
– A Skirt

Materials included?
If you book the materials included, then all materials for those projects are included. We have different yarn and thread choices in stock for each project. It is still possible to buy the materials in our store during the classes as well.

How to book:
Choose your starting date in our schedule and book the course. After this, you will receive a confirmation email with a code that you can use to book your future classes.

*We are not responsible for finishing the pieces in time. We aim for you to finish it in those 4 lessons, but if you have particular wishes that are slowing the process, it can happen that you don’t finish in time. If it is not finished and you need extra help, you are of course welcome at our normal crafting lessons to finish it. Please note that the 4 lessons entail enough time to finish two pieces.
**Are you not able to come to one of your scheduled lessons? No problem, we can reschedule your lesson, as long as you cancel with a minimum of one day before your lesson starts. If you are too late with your cancellation, you will lose that lesson! Send an e-mail to depijp@desteekamsterdam.nl.
