You don’t need to bring anything for this workshop, we provide all the materials you need, including the punch needle, embroidery hoop, fabric, and yarn. If you want, you can purchase the punch needle and embroidery hoop in the end of the class if you’d like to continue from home.

No prior experience is necessary, making this workshop perfect for beginners. Whether you’re eager to explore a new craft or simply looking for a relaxing and creative pastime, our Punch Needle Workshop offers a delightful and hands-on experience. About Andrea
Andrea van der Kuil (b. 1993 in Johannesburg, South Africa; based in Amsterdam, Netherlands) is an award winning textile artist, performance artist, production designer, and writer. She began her artistic career in Johannesburg as a production designer and writer, working with the likes of Sylvaine Strike, William Kentridge, and Mwenya Kabwe. In 2022, Andrea graduated from a Master Performance Practices at ArtEZ University of the Arts, in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Her artistic practice and research includes working with textiles, print, text, and durational performance, while investigating ideas surrounding domestic craft (such as embroidery, knitting, and punch needling), the slow labour inherent in the crafting process, and gender performativity.
