In this beginner-friendly workshop you will make your own wall tapestry and learn two techniques in one day: both macrame and weaving! Students will first learn a few beginner-friendly macrame knots, including the larks head knot, double half hitch knot and the regular half hitch knot, and then they will apply those knots to build the base of their tapestry. After the base tapestry is complete, our teacher will explain how to apply color to your piece by weaving in yarn.
We have several colours available so there will be plenty of options to decorate your piece in a way that suits your style and home interior. Our instructor, Ines, will be there to guide you every step of the way and will share lots of tips and tricks throughout the course. Since you’ll learn a bit of both macrame and weaving, after this class you can decide for yourself which technique you want to continue learning in the future!
