Sewing Workshop Series: Basics 1.0 – summer edition

Are you into sewing, but would you like to go more in depth? Learn the most important sewing techniques in a more structured way. In this Summer course you will learn these techniques by making samples. Learn to create the perfect dart, pocket, fly or collar etc. This is an 4-day course which you will follow in one week.

Included in this course is a e-book with instructions of all the topics developed by De Steek. This course is meant for (complete) beginners.

Here an overview of the weekly topics in this course:
Day 1:
Lesson 1 – stitching seams
Lesson 2 – hemming & gathering
Day 2:
Lesson 3 – patch pockets & neck facing
Lesson 4 – dart, waistband & button
Day 3:
Lesson 5 – zippers
Lesson 6 – sleeve, cuff & basic sleeve split
Day 4:
Lesson 7 – lining
Lesson 8 – shirt collar & button placket

> 4 lessons (4,5h each) with professional guidance by Elze.
> All tools necessary during the course (sewing machines, scissors, chalk etc.).
> An e-book with instructions & patterns developed by De Steek
> Tea & cookies during workshops.

*If you miss one lesson, you can catch up in our Sewing Cafe in one of Natalie’s classes. But Important: cancel in time! (max. 1 day before) Otherwise you will loose this class.
**Note: this is a beginner course. We also developed a second course where more advanced students can join to learn more techniques. It is also possible to follow both courses in a row to get the full knowledge! (with 10% discount)
