This is a follow-up to our Sewing Workshop Series: Basics 1.0! It doesn’t mean that you cannot join this course if you didn’t follow the first one. If you have some sewing experience and want to deepen your knowledge you can also start with the second course without doing the first. (the first is meant for beginners and this one for advanced beginners)
With this course you can learn the most important sewing techniques in a more structured way. In this course you will learn these techniques by making samples. Learn to create the perfect lapelle, advanced pocket, bias binding and placket etc. This is an 4-day summer course (4 days x 4,5 hours). This course is meant for advanced beginners.
Here an overview of topics in this course:
Day 1 – part 1:
> Pleats and tucks
Day 1 – part 2:
> Hong Kong seams and bias bound seams plus French seams
Day 2 – part 1:
> Jeans / trouser slashed pocket plus coin pocket addition
Day 2 – part 2:
> Welt pocket with optional added flap
Day 3 – part 1:
> Bias binding for armholes and necklines
Day 3 – part 2:
> Hidden button placket with buttonholes
Day 4 – part 1:
> Sleeve shirt placket
Day 4 – part 2:
> Lapelled collar with facings
What we provide:
> 4 days of professional guidance by Elze
> All tools necessary (pattern drawing paper, rulers, pencils etc.).
> Coffee, tea & cookies during workshops.
> Materials like fabric, zippers, interfacing
*If you miss a lesson during your course, no problem, you can catch up in one of Elze’s sewing lessons. But it is important to cancel your lesson in time! If you don’t let us know max 1 day before, it’s not possible to catch up cost free!
