Swimwear Workshop Series: Bikini

Is your wardrobe ready for Summer yet? Or are you still looking for the perfect bikini? In this summer course you could make the bikini of your wishes!

In this 2-day course (2 x 4 hours) you will learn how to sew a lined bikini set. You can choose between different designs in class. You will learn how to alter a bikini pattern to fit your perfectly and to sew with swimwear fabrics. Lingerie expert Leanne will teach you all the tips & tricks of applying swimwear elastics.
It’s best if you already know how to use a sewing machine before you come to this lesson.

It’s possible to book this course with the materials in or excluded. If you choose excluded, you will get a list with everything that you need to bring. If you choose included, it’s possible to choose from a wide range of lycra fabrics, suitable for swimwear (different colours and prints, most of it are dead stock fabrics).

Leanne van Steensel van der Aa started sewing lingerie some years ago at De Steek, and has been obsessed ever since. Since then, she’s taught herself all about lingerie pattern drafting, fitting, materials and design. Leanne also launched her own lingerie brand: Lunar Laces. At De Steek Leanne shares her love of lingerie sewing by teaching you how to draft lingerie patterns to achieve the perfect fit, teach you about all the different lingerie materials and how to use them, and the techniques you need to know to create the lingerie of your dreams.
